How do they catch Lobsters?

Lobsters are caught in traps like those pictured above. The lobster trap is basically a basket made out of wire mesh. On each end of the basket the wire is formed like an inward-facing funnel.
Bait is placed in the trap, and the trap is lowered to the sea floor. A colored marker bouy identifies the trap and provides a way to capture and raise the trap from the bottom. The unsuspecting lobsters climb into the funnel-shaped ends of the basket to get at the bait and fall into the basket.
Unfortunately for them, they can not easily climb back out of the trap.
It sounds pretty simple, but it's tough work.
